What is Tai Sui

The Tai Sui God who is on duty this year is called "Liunian Tai Sui". The 60 Tai Sui Gods are rotated by 60 great generals who were respected by the people. The concept of Tai Sui can be traced back to ancient Chinese astronomical concepts, which are related to the orbital period of Jupiter. According to the sexagenary cycle (stems and branches), 2025 is the year of the Yi Si (乙巳年) in the lunar calendar. In 2025, it is the turn of General Wu Sui (吴遂大将军) to become the Tai Sui God.
