11-Day Wonders of China Tour

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China! After you arrive in Beijing, your private tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport or train station. They will send you to the hotel and help you check in. You can relax first and explore near the hotel.

Today, you will be driven to Tian’anmen Square where China raises its national flag. Then walk north to the Forbidden City and visit exquisite cultural relics and treasures. You can discover the history of the Ming and Qing dynasties and ancient Chinese culture. For lunch, you will enjoy Beijing roast duck at Siji Minfu Roast Duck Restaurant. 

After lunch, climb up to the top of Jingshan Park and get a bird's-eye view of downtown Beijing and the Forbidden City. After dinner, you will watch the Peking Opera at the Beijing Liyuan Theatre, taste some Beijing traditional snacks, and drink tea.

In the morning, you will explore the Great Wall of China at the Mutianyu section with your tour guide. It will take you 2 hours to get to the Mutianyu Great Wall. You can take a cable car up to the Great Wall and walk on the Great Wall.

After visiting, you can descend by cable car, toboggan slide, or on foot. Your guide will arrange a farmhouse restaurant for your lunch.

In the afternoon, travel to the Summer Palace. Appreciate the beautiful royal garden and go boating on Kunming Lake. For dinner, you will be served to taste of copper hot pot, which is a traditional Beijing-style hotpot.

In the morning, you will be met by your tour guide at the hotel lobby and driven to visit the Temple of Heaven. Many local people do morning exercise here. You can join them to do Tai Chi, dance, fly a kite, or practice calligraphy.

Travel to Beijing Hutong. You can take a rickshaw or walk on old lanes. Get close to local people and experience the life of Beijing people.

In the afternoon, take a 5-hour high-speed train and transfer to Xi’an. Your local tour guide and driver will meet you at the train station and help you check into the hotel.

Today’s highlight is visiting Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum and the Terracotta Army. It has three excavated pits with a large number of terracotta soldiers. Every terracotta soldier is different in facial expression, manner, hair, and clothes. And you can make a mini terracotta warrior on your own.

After lunch, visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the Daci’en Temple, which was built to enshrine, worship, and store scriptures. After visiting, you can try wearing the elegant traditional Chinese clothes, Hanfu, and take some lovely pictures. For dinner, you’ll enjoy the Chinese Dumpling Banquet and try a variety of dumplings in different shapes.

In the evening, it is the best time to visit the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City. Walk on the antique streets, visit shops and stalls, and imagine that you are in the glorious age of the Tang Dynasty.

Today, you will visit the Shaanxi History Museum and Small Wild Goose Pagoda. You can learn about rich cultural relics at the museum and explore ancient stone-carving art. Then travel to the Ancient Xi'an City Wall. You can cycle around the City Wall or walk on foot. Wander through the Muslim Quarter (Huimin Street) and taste local Muslim cuisine.

In the afternoon, you will fly to the next destination — Guilin. Your tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.

Drive to Zhujiang Pier and take a 5-star Li River Cruise Boat from Guilin to Yangshuo, which may take 4 to 5 hours. You can relax on the Li River cruise and appreciate the meandering river, karst mountains, nine horses mountains, and RMB 20 yuan background. You will have your lunch on the cruise.

After getting to Yangshuo, you will walk through West Street and check in at the hotel in Yangshuo. You can take a break, and then travel to Yulong River. Try to take a bamboo raft and experience the thrill of the raft going over little dams.

In the evening, enjoy the music and dance show — Impression Liu Sanjie. It takes the Li River as the stage, takes advantage of surrounding mountains and rivers, and shows scenes of local people living and working.

Drive to Longji to experience local life and folk customs. You can climb mountains, pick crops, catch fish, and make traditional food. There are many unique traditional festivals, like the Plowing Festival, Shuyang Festival, Clothes Drying Festival, and Long Hair Festival. You can put on the ethnic costume and have an afternoon tea.

In the evening, you will have dinner around a fireplace with local Dong minority people. They will tell you stories about their village, play a musical instrument, and sing songs of Dong nationality.

After breakfast, you will visit Longji Rice Terraced Fields. Appreciate neat and orderly terraced fields, get close to nature, and discover how these fields are built on the mountains.

In the afternoon, drive back to Guilin downtown and fly to Shanghai. Your private Shanghai tour guide will meet you at the airport.

In the morning, you will visit Shanghai Museum and explore the history and culture of China. Visit Yu Garden, where you can enjoy the scenery of the traditional Chinese garden. Then walk around the nearby Yu Garden Market and taste local snacks and drinks.

Head to Shanghai World Financial Center and have a panoramic view of modern Shanghai. Enjoy a walk along Nanjing Road with lots of international brand stores and souvenir stores. Walk along the Bund, discover the Broadway Building, and take a photo with the Oriental Pearl Tower.

After dinner, you can take a sightseeing cruise on the Huangpu River and appreciate the Bund, Lujiazui, and Garden Bright of Shanghai.
