Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China. After you get to Beijing, you will meet your tour guide at the airport or train station. Your guide and driver will escort you to the hotel and help you check in. You can relax at the hotel or wander around. If you don't know where to go, feel free to ask your tour guide for help.

After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby. Then drive to Tian'anmen Square. It has witnessed the changes in Chinese history. Your tour guide will tell you about its history and stories.
Head north to the Forbidden City (the Palace Museum). Walk on the road of the Forbidden City, and appreciate the carved beams and painted rafters. Your knowledgeable tour guide will explain the historical stories and events of the Forbidden City, and explore Chinese history and culture. For lunch, eat roasted Peking duck at the “Siji Mingfu Roasted Duck” Restaurant.
In the afternoon, head to the Summer Palace to enjoy the beauty of the most classic Chinese royal garden. You can climb up the mountain, take a walk on the decorative walkway, or have a boat trip on Kunming Lake. After dinner, you can enjoy the Beijing Opera and taste traditional Beijing snacks and tea. After watching the Beijing Opera, you can discover a brief history and take photos at Liyuan Theatre.

Today, you will be transferred to the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu section, which is known as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You can ascend the Mutianyu Great Wall by cable car and walk/hike the Great Wall. Then you can choose to walk down, get down by cable car, or slide down by sleigh so that you can save energy.
For lunch, you can taste Beijing's specialty at a farmhouse restaurant. Then drive back to Beijing downtown and visit the Beijing Olympic Park. You can visit Beijing’s Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube and learn about unique modern design and the spirit of the Olympics. Try to eat a Beijing copper hot pot for dinner.

Today, you can get up early and join locals in doing morning exercise, such as doing Tai Chi, dancing, flying kites and practicing calligraphy at the Temple of Heaven.
Take a rickshaw to explore Beijing Hutong (narrow lanes or alleyways) in Beijing quadrangle courtyard. Travel in hutongs, visit various antique stores and boutiques, and explore the lifestyle of Beijing local people.
Have a visit to a local family, and learn to practice Chinese calligraphy. You can play cricket and play diabolo (kinds of traditional folk games).
After the tour, your tour guide will escort you to Shanghai by high-speed train, which will take you 5 hours.

Visit Shanghai Museum, one of the four main museums in China. You can discover the history and development of Shanghai. Then head to Yu Garden. It is a Chinese classic garden with traditional Chinese architectural design. You can taste all kinds of local snacks, refreshing drinks, and pick exquisite handicrafts in the market near Yu Garden.
Head to Shanghai World Financial Center. Overlook the panorama of Shanghai at the observation deck — “the eye of Shanghai” (474 meters high with 100 stories). Travel to Nanjing Road, the heaven of shoppers and foodies. Walk to the Bund, the most representative place in Shanghai. Explore Broadway Building and look across the river at the Oriental Pearl.
After dinner, take a Huangpu River cruise ship or ferryboat, watch the neon lights reflected on the river, and feel the breeze on your face. Pass the Bund, Lujiazui and Garden Bridge of Shanghai and appreciate the beauty and prosperity of Shanghai.

Today, you will travel to the Jade Buddha Temple, the biggest temple of jade Buddha. You can explore many religious relics, ancient statues and Buddhist scriptures. Worship and pray for good fortune. Learn about the culture of Buddhism. Head to Tianzifang, which is rebuilt based on Shikumen building group. And now it is a workplace of many literati artists. In this place that is full of life, you can wander on this alley, drink coffee in an outdoor cafe, and discover interesting gadgets in small shops. Stroll along historic Wukang Road leisurely, and appreciate old trees and European-style buildings of the former French Concession.
