This morning, you will head to Tiananmen Square, a famous landmark in Beijing. Continue to the Forbidden City, the former royal palace complex. Now the  Forbidden City is a museum showing ancient Chinese court culture. At noon, you will enjoy Zhajiangmian (traditional Beijing fried sauce noodles) for lunch at Wangfujing Street.

In the afternoon, you will travel to the Summer Palace which is known for its exquisite garden landscape and rich history and culture. Indulge in the family moments of taking a boat trip on Kunming Lake.

Watch a Beijing Opera performance and immerse yourself in the virtuosity of the actors and the good story. Put on Beijing Opera costumes and learn how to sing Beijing Opera. You can feel the life of the characters. Drawing Beijing Opera facial makeup with your kids is also an interesting thing.

After breakfast, you will explore Mutianyu Great Wall with your private guide. To save your energy, you can choose to take the cable car up to the Great Wall. As the cable car rises, you can get a bird's-eye view of the beautiful natural scenery. Admire the stunning mountain views when you hike on the Great Wall. Slide down on the Mutianyu Great Wall toboggan and feel the thrilling moment. Have lunch at a farmhouse restaurant at the foot of Mutianyu Great Wall.

In the afternoon, you will travel to scenic Shichahai with the unique historical and cultural features of Beijing. Take a rickshaw through Beijing Hutong and taste the old Beijing life. You can experience Chinese calligraphy, cricket fighting, and diabolo (Chinese Yoyo) when visiting a Beijing Hutong family. For lunch, you can enjoy Beijing copper hot pot and eat mutton rolls or beef rolls.

This morning, you will travel to Temple of Heaven, an imperial sacrificial altar in the past. You can visit its majestic temple buildings and learn about its unique culture. You can see many locals doing Tai Chi, dancing, or using water to practice calligraphy on the ground. You can also do Tai Chi under the guidance of a teacher and test your results in a Tai Chi competition after class.

After a delicious lunch of Beijing Roast Duck, you will be transferred to Xi'an by high-speed train (about 5 hours). Upon arrival, you will be met by your private guide and driver. You can explore the surroundings or have a break.

Venture to Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, known for the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. Be amazed at vivid and realistic clay soldiers, horses, and chariots. Try to make a mini terracotta warrior and take it as a unique souvenir.

In the afternoon, ride a bike on the Ancient Xi'an City Wall. Stroll along the City Wall for a view of the old city. The defense wall has accumulated centuries of history.

Visit lively Muslim Quarter which gathers numerous authentic snack stalls and traditional time-honored restaurants. You can taste various Muslim specialty food.

Visit Shaanxi History Museum in the morning to witness a rich collection of cultural relics. Explore Small Wild Goose Pagoda where you can appreciate a famous brick pagoda building and learn about deep religious culture. Then watch Chinese shadow shows and listen to a story shown through light and shadow. You can observe the technique of making the silhouette figures and experience it yourself in a Chinese shadow puppetry workroom.

Before lunch, you will be taken to a local family and experience local daily life. Learn how to make dumplings with the help of hosts and enjoy a dumpling feast for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will head to the airport and take a 2-hour flight to Zhangjiajie. After arrival, your private guide and driver will take you to the hotel in Wulingyuan Area.

Today, you will spend a day exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Private cars are not allowed in the park, so your private guide will accompany you to shuttle between attractions by shuttle bus.

Begin your Zhangjiajie adventure with Tianzi Mountain. Take a cable car up the mountain and marvel at the magnificent columnar stone peak forest. The sea of clouds after the rain is one of the most spectacular sights. Then take the cable car down.

Continue with Yuanjiajie at the north of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Yuanjiajie Scenic Area is known for the Hallelujah Mountains which is the inspiration for the movie, Avatar. Take the Bailong sightseeing elevator up to the top at 335 meters high. Huge quartz sandstone pillars appear before your eyes when the elevator goes up.

In the morning, you will travel to Tianmen Mountain National Park which is famous for its spiky kast peaks. You can take the cable car up to the top of the Tianmen mountain. Tianmen Mountain Cableway has a total length of 7455 meters which will take you about 28 minutes.

Visit Tianmen Mountain Temple built in the Ming Dynasty. Then challenge yourself to walk on the transparent Glass Skywalk and feel your heart beat faster. Then head to Tianmen Cave and try to climb 999 steep steps which may take you half an hour. Take the shuttle bus down the mountain along the famous 99 Bends.

In the afternoon, travel to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Experience thrilling Glass Bridge, the longest and highest glass bridge in the world. At a height of 300 meters above the ground, you will experience the adrenaline rush and appreciate breathtaking views of the canyon.

Tianmen Cave and Glass Skywalk may be closed due to heavy snow or severe cold weather in winter. Your personal tour guide and travel consultant will adjust your itinerary accordingly.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Guilin by high-speed train. You'll spend most of the day on the high-speed train. We suggest you prepare some food and drink to eat on this long train ride. After arrival, your private guide and driver will meet you and bring you to the hotel.

Kind reminder:
There are only two direct high-speed trains from Zhangjiajie to Guilin, both of which are morning trains. And it will take you about 7 hours. If the direct high-speed train tickets are sold out, you'll transit to Changsha and then to Guilin.

After breakfast, you will board a 5-star cruise ship and travel to Yangshuo along Li River. You will spend 4 to 5 hours on the cruise ship. On the way, you can admire the limestone columns towering over the riverbanks. Nine Horses Fresco Hill and scenery on RMB 20 Yuan Note are the most famous. Lunch will be served on board.

After check-in at the hotel, you can head to West Street for the rest of the day. You can have a drink at the bar and experience the lively atmosphere.

Enjoy a tranquil morning at Yangshuo's villages. You and your family will ride bikes through picturesque rice fields and numerous mountain peaks. Ride along the country roads and feel the gentle breeze brushing against your face.

In the afternoon, experience the exciting bamboo rafting tour along Yulong River. Enjoy a 50-minute rafting trip in a 2-person bamboo raft. The karst mountains and meandering river surround you which makes you feel you are traveling in a painting. Enjoy the fun of dam rushing.

In the evening, you can arrange your time on your own. Stroll at West Street and experience strong national features and bustling scenes. Or you can watch Impression Liu Sanjie at your own expense. Impression Liu Sanjie is a music and dance show, that perfectly blends national culture and natural beauty in Yangshuo.

After breakfast, you will return to Guilin downtown. Visit Reed Flute Cave on the way and appreciate stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars in different shapes. Multicolored lighting makes the cave look like a brilliant underground palace.

In the afternoon, you will fly to Shanghai. Your tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel to rest.

Visit cultural relics exhibitions in Shanghai Museum and learn about the civilization process of China. Enjoy quiet leisure time at Yu Garden, an exquisite garden with classical architecture. Yuyuan Bazaar is a traditional market in Shanghai. You can find various authentic Shanghai snacks and specialty goods here.

It is an exciting experience to enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai at the sightseeing hall of the towering Shanghai World Financial Center. Then travel to Nanjing Road and discover famous brand stores and authentic Shanghai food. The Bund is a blend of new and old. You can appreciate historical building groups and modern areas. Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Broadway Mansions are also landmarks in Shanghai.

Go on a night cruise along Huangpu River and enjoy a completely different perspective of Shanghai. Look at the brightly-lit Lujiazui, the Bund, and the lights on the Waibaidu Bridge of Shanghai at night.
