In the morning, start your day with a tour of Chiang Mai's Old City. Riding a bike is a better way to explore the Old City. Travel through the iconic Tha Phae Gate and head to Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh for a visit. Chat with a Thai monk, which can help you learn more about local culture. Besides ancient local temples, there are also plenty of massage spots, modern shops, and cafes.
In the evening, celebrate the Yi Peng Lantern Festival with local Thai people! You can buy a sky lantern and release it into the night sky. It is a tradition of Yi Peng Lantern Festival, which is thought to bring good luck. Thousands of brightly lit lanterns create a breathtaking sight. Then, immerse yourself in cultural performances.

Today, you will get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary (about 1-hour scenic drive). You will learn about the daily habits of elephants and how to interact with them. You can feed them grass, bananas, watermelon, and other food. Stroll in the jungle with elephants or swim with them. You will enjoy lunch at the sanctuary and return to the hotel in Chiang Mai to rest after lunch. You are free to relax or explore for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, you will visit the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). Delicate white carvings can be seen throughout the white Temple. After lunch, continue to the Black House (Baan Dam Museum). This morning, you can have leisure time after breakfast. In the afternoon, you will try a Thai cooking class. When preparing ingredients, you can choose to visit an organic farm and pick from the farm. Or you can head to a local market where you can buy some spices, too.
Your cooking teacher will teach you how to cook a wide range of traditional Thai specialities, such as Tom Yum Soup (Thai hot and sour soup), Chicken in Coconut Milk, Thai iced tea, Green papaya salad, etc. Of course, you can enjoy them for dinner!
