10-Day Thailand Lantern Festival Tour & Yi Peng Festival

Today, you will arrive at the airport in Bangkok and meet your private local guide and driver. Then head to the hotel and check in. For the rest of the day, you can explore the surroundings by yourself.

Your Bangkok tour will begin with Wat Pho Temple, where the most famous reclining Buddha statue in Thailand is housed. Wat Pho Temple is also the birthplace of Thai massage. You can enjoy a relaxing Massage at Wat Pho. Then you will take a tuk tuk through the fragrant, multi-colored Pak Khlong Talat Flower Market.

Afterwards, you will stop at the Grand Palace, which was once the king's residence and administrative center. Visit an important Buddhist temple - Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha). Wat Phra Kaew is renowned for its figure of Buddha carved from a single jade stone.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River and visit the stupa-like Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River. On the ferry, you can enjoy the cityscape on both sides of the river and appreciate Wat Arun at sunset.

In the evening, head to Bangkok's Chinatown by tuk tuk. Bangkok's Chinatown is one of the liveliest and most bustling business districts. Lose yourself in colorful night lights and the energetic neighborhood. Discover a wide variety of street food to satisfy your appetite.

After breakfast, you will visit the most popular Damnoen Saduak Floating Market on a long-tail boat. When you travel through the narrow waterways, you can stop to shop and eat. Soak in the unique ambiance of the Thailand floating market and get a sense of local life. You can also wander along the Thai canals and watch the water market get busy.

Afterwards, continue visiting Maeklong Railway Market, where vendors set up their stalls close to the sides of the railroad tracks. Capture the amazing scene of vendors rushing to clear away their stalls when the train is approaching.

Late in the afternoon, drive back to your hotel in Bangkok to rest and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

In the morning, you will have some free time to continue exploring Bangkok. Later, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Chiang Mai. You will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide and driver. After heading to the hotel for check-in, you are free to enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring. You can enjoy an undisturbed afternoon or visit the spa to experience a Thai massage.

In the morning, you can take part in a Thai cooking lesson and learn cooking techniques for Thai dishes. You can choose a "Farm-to-Table" cooking experience. Visit a local organic farm, where you can pick fresh herbs and vegetables and learn about where food comes from. Or you can also choose a "Market-to-Table" course. Explore a bustling market to purchase seasonal ingredients like locals.

Under the guidance of a cooking instructor, you can learn to cook Tom Yum Soup (Thai hot and sour soup), Pad Thai (Thai stir-fried noodles), Thai iced tea, and other dishes you like.

At nightfall, you will embark on your Chiang Mai Lantern Festival tour and experience the Yi Peng Festival. Prepare your own sky lanterns or buy them on the spot. You can make a wish by writing it on your lantern. Then release sky lanterns and witness the spectacular sight of millions of sky lanterns lighting up the night sky.

After breakfast, you will travel to the ethical Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. You can learn more knowledge and stories about elephants. Enjoy fun interaction with these majestic animals up close, such as bathing, playing, feeding, and mud spa.

After sampling lunch at the sanctuary, you will return to the hotel in Chiang Mai for rest. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and explore on your own.

After breakfast, your private tour guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and bring you to the airport. You will transfer to Phuket. After checking in at the hotel, you are free to enjoy leisure time on your own. You can relax at the resort or explore the surrounding natural beauty and water sports.

Today, you will depart from Chalong Bay by speedboat and enjoy an island-hopping tour to Phi Phi Island. You will explore Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, the emerald lagoon, and Viking Cave. Relax on the soft white beach and snorkel in the turquoise waters with colorful fish and vibrant coral reefs.

Head to Monkey Beach, where you can have a close encounter with wild monkeys and take photos with them. Continue to Maiton Island (Honeymoon Island) for water activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, water slides, and paddle boarding.

After the tour, return to Phuket by speedboat.

Today, you will slow down to explore quaint Old Phuket Town. You can visit Sino-Portuguese houses, colorful shophouses, and ancient temples and shrines. Take your camera to capture the beautiful buildings and murals. Find an authentic restaurant for traditional Thai specialties. Head to the top of Nakkerd Hill and visit the 45-meter-tall Big Phuket Buddha.
