Today, you will arrive at New Chitose Airport and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you can explore the surroundings in advance or have a nice rest.

In the morning, you'll head to Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), with 10,000 tons of hot spring water gushing out every day. You can stroll around Jigokudani to observe volcanic activity and enjoy footbaths.
In the afternoon, you will travel to Lake Shikotsu, where you can take part in the Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival (from the end of January to the middle of February). You can appreciate many ice structures with magical, colorful lights at night. Take part in interesting activities, such as ice skating, ice slides, and ice climbing.
After visiting, drive back to Sapporo for the night.

This morning, you will start your tour with a visit to Shiroi Koibito Park, famous for its Shiroi Koibito cookies. You can visit the workshop and learn how to make cookies and chocolate. Continue to the historic Tanukikoji Shopping Street, where you can browse various merchandise shops for local souvenirs and taste local delicacies, such as miso ramen and soup curry.
In the afternoon, you will head to Odori Park, the main venue of the Sapporo Snow Festival (in early February). You can marvel at a collection of mesmerizing snow and ice sculptures while visiting food stalls in the park for Hokkaido cuisine. Appreciate massive ice sculptures from the Sapporo TV Tower.
In the evening, visit Susukino, another venue of the Sapporo Snow Festival. You can immerse yourself in lively nightlife and festival atmosphere.

After breakfast, you will embark on a day trip to Otaru. You will first head to snowy Otaru Canal and visit the surrounding cafes, restaurants, shops, and museums. Head to Kitaichi Glass, which is a famous shop selling exquisite glassware. You can learn about glass-blowing and make your own glassworks.
Continue to Otaru Music Box Museum and admire about 5000 different kinds of music boxes. Enjoy a seafood rice bowl, fresh sushi, or other delicious food at the local Sankaku Market.
At nightfall, there is an Otaru Snow Light Path Festival every February. You can stroll along Otaru Canal in a romantic atmosphere and appreciate the illuminated scenery.
After the tour, you will drive back to Sapporo.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Asahikawa.
Head to Asahiyama Zoo, where you can get close to different species of animals and learn about their behavior. You can see the adorable scene of penguins walking. Then travel to a food-themed park - Asahikawa Ramen Village. You can not only learn about the culture of Japanese ramen, but also enjoy the delicious, various flavors of ramen.
Next, you will head to the Asahikawa Winter Festival (in early February) with one of the largest snow sculptures. Besides snow and ice statues, you can also experience snowmobile rides, snow slides, an ice bar, and illumination.

This morning, you will leave Asahikawa and transfer to Sounkyo Onsen town at Daisetsuzan National Park.
Venturing into the stunning Sounkyo Gorge, you will discover misty cliffs and frozen waterfalls. Take the cable car up to the summit of Mount Kurodake and take in the impressive natural views.
Later, you will enjoy the fun of the Sounkyo Onsen Ice Fall Festival (from late January - early March). You will have rich events to participate in, such as appreciating illuminated ice structures, climbing the ice, watching beautiful fireworks, and performances.

After breakfast, you will leave Sounkyo and head to Abashiri. You will experience a drift ice cruise sightseeing. Board the Aurora ship and set off on the sea journey.
You can closely observe the drift ice floating on the sea and have chances to meet various wild animals, like Steller's sea eagles, Hokkaido deer, and Arctic foxes. You can even experience walking on the drift ice if the ice conditions permit.

After breakfast, you will drive to Abashiri Prison Museum, a unique museum revealing the daily life of prisoners.
Afterward, you will visit Lake Akan. You can walk on the frozen lake and admire wonderful sights. If there is enough time, you can experience Ainu culture at Akanko Ainu Kotan on the shore of Lake Akan.
In the evening, you will stay at a traditional Japanese-style ryokan and relax in warm hot springs.

In the morning, you will travel to Kushiro Shitsugen National Park. You can walk over the snowfield to enjoy the serene winter world. If you're lucky, you may meet some animals. Visit Tsurui Village and observe elegant red-crowned cranes.
Continue your tour to Tokachigawa Onsen and enjoy a hot spring spa. You can see migratory swans staying in Tokachigawa during the winter.
